What does Tener Miedo mean?

Practice Version

Tener Miedo:
To be afraid. Tener miedo. Tener miedo means to feel fear or anxiety about something in Spanish.
Example:
Tener miedo means “to be afraid”—literally, “to have fear.” Miedo sounds a little like “meadow,” so picture yourself strolling through a sunny meadow… when a furious goose comes charging at you. Suddenly, that meadow is full of miedo! As you flee, shout “¡Tengo miedo!”—“I’m afraid!” Apparently, the goose owns the meadow now.
