What does Leer mean?

Practice Version

Leer:
To read. Leer. In Spanish, "leer" means "to read."
Example:
Leer means “to read” in Spanish. Picture someone giving a book an exaggerated English “leer”—eyes narrowed, eyebrows wiggling—until the book snaps, “Stop staring and READ me!” Both involve your eyes, but Spanish leer (leh-EHR) puts them to better use: reading the words.
