What does Hace Sol mean?

Practice Version

Hace Hay Sol:
It's sunny. Hace hay sol. "Hace hay sol" is an incorrect attempt to say "it's sunny" in Spanish it should be "hace sol" without "hay."
Example:
“It’s sunny” is hace sol in Spanish; hay sol (“there’s sunshine”) also works, but hace hay sol mixes the two expressions together. To remember it, picture the sun slipping on sunglasses and announcing, “Time for some SOL-ar power!” That bright little sol means “sun”—so when sunshine lights up the sky, say “¡Hace sol!”
